{1.thing}

If I could get one thing right now, only one. I know what it would be.
{pardon the google images. i can't stand them either.. but if i had this stuff than i would have pictures of them, right???}
I want it more than

a bigger and better camera...

a laptop of my own...

or a nicer guitar...

That one thing is a REAL piano.

I haven't played on a real piano for months, only a keyboard. A keyboard is good and all, but nothing can beat a piano. Nothing.
Over the weekend I visited friends and had the privilege of playing on their piano. It was so refreshing. I could have played for hours on end and never gotten tired of it...

-----

It's so easy to take for granted the many blessings God has given us. I know that I have taken so many things for granted, a nice piano included. And there's other things like fresh grape juice, grandparents only a few miles down the road, a large yard and a property in the country with lots of acreage, and friends close by. When we lived in New York I had all of that. For me it was normal and everyday. I never stopped to think what it would be like without those things. You can never completely know how much you love something till you no longer have it. When my family moved to Georgia over a year and half ago, we left behind all that we had known for almost 8 years and stepped into the unknown, but we knew God wanted us to do exactly that. Since then God has been taking us on an amazing journey of faith and trust. I am so excited to see what God has in store for us in the coming years!

About yellow.shoes. horses. a.free.concert. and .life. {among other things}

It's me!!
Got these cuties at a consignment shop in town. Too bad they're about 12 sizes too small.... :(
But..............

I found these chuck look-a-likes at a church sale on Sat.
They come from Rue21 but who cares?!? They're YELLOW!!!!!
I've wanted 'desert' sandles for quite awhile and I found these at the same sale.
Actually I paid $3 TOTAL for BOTH these AND the yellow shoes!!!!
OH HAPPY DAY!!!!! lol

The neighbors had a yard/garage sale last weekend. There was probably atleast 20 bananana boxes FULL of clothes(most about 20 years out of date.lol). But it was only $5 a garbage bag so in between me and mom we filled.it.UP!!!! (: Lots of scraps to make stuff with!
[The hat I'm wearing in the first picture comes from the bag!]

My pile of loot!

ANOTHER yard sale bargain!!!! Stinkin cheap too.(:
Ok. So this is the last bargain of the week I'll share with you: 1 more chair to add to my growing collection.
It was already painted white so all I had to do was sand it!
I'm thinking about painting it later. Maybe put a different seat on?? idk
I seem to have this thing for shoes, scarves, and chairs!!!!!
Me and Ashlyn walked a letter up to the post office and found this glass bottle on the way back. (:
Speaking of Coke.....it makes A.MAZING floats!
He loves opening the blinds in my room and looking outside.(:
So cute!! I love him!
Mom took me and Ashlyn to a FREE concert I heard about on the radio.(:
None other than Kari Jobe. This girl has an awesome voice!!!
Kari Jobe

Kari's music video "You Are For Me".

Our horses are {finally} nearby!!!!
Oh, the smell of a horse!!!!
Nicki

This isn't the worst picture I've ever taken, but it would look better if my iced coffee would stick out better from the background.

So I tried another picture.......using the backside of a fabric cutting board!!!! (:
(It WAS delicious:) And it only took me about 1 1/2 minutes to make!!

For some reason that really inspired me, so I asked mom to get me a couple pieces of poster paper at the DollarTree while she was in town. Later that evening I took pictures of these radishes using one of those!!!
We have an over-abundance of radishes from our garden!!!
I picked a bouquet of these gorgeous wild flowers by the railroad tracks..

God is so good!
He has been teaching me SO.MUCH lately!!
It's a journal-keeping time. I don't want to forget what it was like to go through some of the most faith building weeks/months of our lives.
I was reading from my devotional the other morning and these quotes really stuck out to me-

"If all things are possible with God, then all things are possible to him who believes in Him."
-
"Jesus taught that the evidence that confirms our leaps of faith comes after we risk believing,
not before."

That is where we are as a family right now. In the before. Sometimes I just want to see the evidence RIGHT NOW! (you know how impaitient we are as human beings;) But I have to keep asking God for His will, His way, His TIME. Than it will ALL be for His glory!

An exerpt from my journal:
"...I need to remind myself that God never backs out on His promises because if He did that would make Him a liar and He's totally perfect and cannot lie."
God has promised that He will never leave us or forsake us. And if we delight in Him, come before Him in prayer, and delight in Him, He will give us our desires and needs.

a church picnic by the .Chattahoochee.

Our pavillion was on the top of a hill over-looking the river.
So before we ate, I headed down to the river to take a few pictures.

And this is what happens when you get too close to the edge!!
After I took this picture I noticed the red leaves. Summer is leaving us whether we want it to or not...
gotta love the b/and/w
Little green snake the girls were carrying around.
I think that's the first time I've ever held a snake.(:
It's not that different from a worm or a frog so I was ok.lol

Since I don't think I've mentioned it before..I LOVVVVE DR.PEPPER!!!!!!
.little pink shoes.
a puppy named 'foxy'

After we ate lots of yummy food and played some volleyball, I went down to the river again.
The evening light was GORGEOUS!

Check out the bokeh!!
delicious evening light

If you want to check out some A-mazing black and white landscape photography visit Clyde Butcher's website.

Taken through the boards of the park bench.

Just looking at these pictures makes me want to sing:

The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty,
Let all the earth rejoice, all the earth rejoice.
He wraps Himself in light, and darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice, trembles at His voice.

How great is our God, sing with me,
How great is our God, all will see
How great, how great is our God.
