my most recent [finished] project-

...a little stool mom got at a yard sale last summer.

And after putting on different fabric and sanding the legs a little, this is what it looked like....

There's an upholstery shop across the road and I decided to go over and see if they had any small pieces I could use. The guy there was so nice and gave me a pretty good sized piece for FREE!! It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it turned out better than I thought it would!! :)

a day at the park: and a visit to main street

For those of you who wondered how small our town really was.........

well, this is Main Street!!

A few cute shops....

 

and the mill......it's one of my favorite parts of our town. (: In the right picture above you'll see graffitti just to the left of the steps, someone did it last summer and I was so sad to see it on such a wonderful old building. I absolutly love graffitti, but it looks better on big cement wall in the city and train cars!!!!

The girls enjoyed getting a chance to play at the park. It had been awhile since we were there...after we moved last spring we spent many, many hours playing there!!

 

 

For some reason I absolutly love this picture.....they came to play at the park and here they were playing on a TREE with the playground behind them!! And they were having such a fun time too!

My brother loves skateboarding, ever since he got his skateboard last spring he has spent alot of time at the local skatepark.

I must say he's quite good, especially considering he hasn't even been doing it for quite a year.

 While taking these pictures I was sitting in the middle of Main Street!! And I only had to get up once to let a car pass!!

To me these pictures look more like fall than winter....

There are still some things I haven't figured out about the south yet!!

Harrison::6 mnths

The MANY fun expressions of a 6 month old!!!

 

 It was a PERRRFECT day for taking pictures.....not too warm or too cold: too bright or too dark......

 

These first pictures here were takin at an old train depot in Grantville. There's an awesome big blueish-greenish doorway and white washed brick....

 

 And the rest of the pictures were taken at this amazing old building...

 

 

Last week Harrison had his 6 month birthday..so we drove to an awesome little old town just a few miles from our house to take a few pictures

He was watching cars go by... [:

*He did that cute thing with his hands all by himself!

This was the first time I had ever been in Grantville and I had so much fun!

Anybody want there pictures taken?!?!?! I hope to go back someday soon and take pictures by this awesome door...and some of the other AWESOME places there!!!
