About the header...

...It's about as close as we get to winter in GA.lol The big holly bush at the end of our drive. (:

---------------------------------

Some days....
I miss New York more now than I have in the past 9 months since we moved.
I miss the scenery.
I miss my friends.
I miss going out to the barn and petting the horses whenever I feel like it.
I miss the place that I called home for almost 8 years.

Isn't it just GORGEOUS!?!

----------------------------------

Things are different here in GA...
There's only been a couple white flakes in the air and its almost New Years day.
There's no wood stove to snuggle by after playing in the snow.
No more shoveling the long path from the barn to the house so we can pull wagon loads of wood, through the snow, to the house.
For Christmas we didn't have granpa and gramma S. close by to spend the day with.
We didn't trade names with mom's family as we have for the past 8 years, or spend the day with everybody eating and playing games.

Sometimes it doesn't feel good to be taken out of our comfort zone, but how can we learn to trust God if we're doing fine on our own?
There are days when I'd rather not be here. We don't often see close friends. And because of where we are I don't have the options of things to do that I had where we lived in NY. We live on the edge of town with a small yard and only our 2 dogs, instead of a "farm-et" in the country. I love to keep my hands busy so without outside chore's, something I enjoyed doing, somedays I get bored and tend to feel sorry for myself.
Those are the time I need to remember to trust Him! God's plans are so much better than ours, but sometimes it's hard to put our trust in Him. He see's the completed picture: all we see is one piece of the puzzle. We have no idea what the future holds...even our next breath isn't guaranteed!

TRUST~

Proverbs 3:5--TRUST in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Psalms 40:4--Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his TRUST, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Nahum 1:7--The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that TRUST in him.

Psalms 118:8--It is better to TRUST in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

~remember to put your TRUST in God ALONE.

-----------------------

Over Christmas we had the opportunity to spend time with granpa and gramma M in Florida.
And while we were there, we went to the beach!!!! (:
My friend took our family pictures out there so once I have more time to sit at the computer and go through and edit more pictures I WILL post them on here..

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!

sisters~

--Breanna-Elise-Courtney--

Why do the neighbors houses always have to get on the picture??

------

I let each of the girls choose a place where they wanted to have their pictures taken. Elise's choice of location was
behind the shed::

Courtney "reading" her Bible                                           silly girls.lol

-----

Behind the house, on the grass::
Breanna's pick

They couldn't quite get how to put they're heads together.haha
Elise's eyes are POPPING!(no editing, I NEVER edit eye's)
----

-----
Courtney's location:
The back of the truck..

Courtney and Elise...being silly as always....

And that's the last of the pictures of the "3 little girls"...actually this is the first time I've ever gotten good pictures of all of them together. Kinda weird isnt it??
My personal favorite are the ones on the grass. (: Hope you enjoyed them! Thanks for stopping by!

Elise::

There really is no 1 word to descirbe Elise...

she's content to play by herself most of the time, though she loves playing with her friends and sisters.

sometimes she says the sweetest things...one evening dad was saying how we need to trust in God and Elise said, "we don't need to just trust in God we need to trust and obey"(like the song). It's one of those things you talk about and sing about but when it comes down to it, it's much harder...

her eyes are B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!

she makes me laugh when she laughs...her laugh is so contagious.

I put some of my Aquafina hydrating lip oil on her lips for the pictures. It was all licked off a few pictures into the shoot.lol

She was tryin to look into my lens.lol
NOTE: I read something written by pro photographers on a blog a couple weeks ago and thought it was interesting because it sortof happened on this picture..

"When we're shooting portraits and we have the subject engaging the camera, we always tell them to "look right through my lens like you're looking at my eye." It does a couple of things. One, it lengthens the gaze and makes it look deeper. Two, by looking at the dark camera (with the lens hood) it opens up the pupils and makes the eyes look bigger. Plus, it just gives them something to do so they stop worrying about themselves for a second!" -J&M Marantz

 Love you Lise!

early fall photoshoot on the porch

It was a hot autumn day(notice the perspiration on their faces).

On the front porch, a.k.a. chandler's porch.

Courtney was in one of her "interesting" moods.

Breanna kept getting distracted by all the traffic going by.

I'm not sure how or why, but I just never got around to editing these pictures I took in October, until now.lol

but.......here are a few of the best shots!

The 2 girls..

Courtney

Spying on the traffic.lol I wonder what the people going by thought of the little girl looking at them through binocnulars!

She had a scrape on her hand and it got a bunch of dirt in it. So thats the reason for her hand being all bandaged up.

Instead of "where's waldo" how bout "where's the photographer"?!?! :)
---

She wanted a picture on the floor. ??
